AI-ENABLED WASHING MACHINES ARE NOW A REALITY WITH THE LG 2023 VIVACE

A washing machine is a staple appliance in every home and over the years we have seen an
evolution of these appliances, be it in terms of features, capacity or design. LG Electronics (LG)
has unveiled its new LG 2023 VIVACE 11kg Washing Machine, the pinnacle of that evolution,
bringing together large capacities and intelligent features, complete with a thoughtful design.

With this new addition to LG’s washing machine range, the brand leverages AI capabilities for a
more intelligent approach to laundry. The AI Direct Drive Motor uses big data of accumulated
washing experience and optimizes the washing motion for an 18% increase in fabric protection.
This is done by detecting the weight and softness of the fabric, thereby choosing the most
appropriate motions for it. The Inverter Direct Drive Motor (DD) is one of LG’s successful
products, which recently exceeded over 100 million units in production. The differentiated motor
technology plays a key role in the strong and reliable performance of the brand’s industry-
leading solutions.

The LG 2023 VIVACE 11kg Washing Machine is also equipped with various hygiene-oriented
features, such as the LG Steam technology, which focuses on eliminating up to 99.9% of
allergens, including dust mites, to protect wearers from allergy or respiratory issues. It also
boasts a large drum capacity of 11kg, without increasing the size of the machine.

In terms of design, the LG 2023 VIVACE is designed to fit in minimalist aesthetic, with its
metallic finish and a more visible display. It also comes with a tempered glass door and a
stainless lifter, which contribute further to its durability and hygiene factors. Additionally, the
new washing machine is compatible with LG ThinQ technology, opening doors to smart features
and allowing users to do laundry or even load an additional cycle remotely. Thanks to its ThinQ
capabilities, the LG 2023 VIVACE can also be connected to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant,
allowing for easy embedding into a preset smart home ecosystem.

Customers can also opt to pair the LG 2023 VIVACE with compatible LG TWINWash Mini,
which is more suited for daily wash and delicate care. The add-on aligns beautifully with the LG
2023 VIVACE’s minimalist design, making it the perfect addition for daily life without
disturbing the interior design.

Swisscom Deploys Netcracker Network Domain Orchestration for IP Transport Automation

Netcracker Technology  announced today that its long-standing customer Swisscom has deployed Netcracker’s Network Domain
Orchestration (NDO) solution to modernize the IT landscape of the operator’s new terabit IP transport aggregation network (TITAN). This initiative is part of a large-scale OSS transformation program at Swisscom to create a more flexible, future-proof and automated modern digital architecture with lower operational costs. Netcracker NDO provides a unifying automation solution incorporating real-time and federated inventory for end-to-end visibility and a single source of truth. It also provides efficient network planning and design that speeds up network rollouts and a DevOps-based design studio to rapidly
onboard new devices using vendor-agnostic resource modelling. The solution enables highly automated processes, from device onboarding to rollout planning, physical and logical discovery and reconciliation, and works with any mix of transport network vendors. The cloud-native solution allows Swisscom to share TITAN inventory data in real-time – using open APIs – with multiple external systems using state-of-the-art communication techniques. The deployment of NDO will give Swisscom the ability to go to market more quickly, reduce costs for network rollout, development and operations and improve the autonomy of its teams.
“We have worked very closely with Netcracker over the years and value our partnership, which has led to business success in different areas,” said Bram Van der Zwet, Lead Architect, Networks & Infrastructure at Swisscom. “The automation of our new IP transport network is a major undertaking that will result in a number of improvements across the network and IT, and
we are happy to have Netcracker alongside us once again.” “Swisscom is one of the most innovative operators in Europe, and we are very proud of the confidence they have placed in us to be part of their new IP transport network,” said Benedetto
Spaziani, GM at Netcracker. “With our NDO solution, we look forward to helping Swisscom deliver positive outcomes for the business as it continues to revolutionize the market.”
