The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed the completion
of its security plan to welcome the back-to-school season, in line with the
Ministry of Interior’s strategy aimed at creating a safe traffic environment by
enhancing traffic awareness among all segments of society. A comprehensive
security plan has been established for traffic safety, with preparations for
deploying patrols around schools and the roads leading to them to ensure the
smooth flow of traffic and protect the safety of students.
Ras Al Khaimah Police has urged students, parents, and all road users to
adhere to traffic rules in front of schools and on the roads leading to them.
They emphasized the need to reduce speeds near schools and required that
students under the age of ten sit in the back seats of vehicles to ensure their
safety, as well as use seat belts to guarantee safety.
They also directed drivers to avoid random stopping and to adhere to proper
parking in designated school parking areas to ensure the smooth flow of traffic
. Ras Al Khaimah Police urged bus drivers to adhere to traffic laws, refrain
from using mobile phones while driving, fasten their seat belts, and ensure the
safety and security of students when boarding and disembarking from the bus
before moving. They emphasized the importance of maintaining road safety to
protect our students and support development and sustainability.
