SHARJAH, 14th September, 2023 (WAM) — Egyptian media personality Dr. Hala Sarhan confirmed that the UAE has established a global approach based on respect for others and is one of the world's most concerned countries about the planet's future.
The UAE has chosen "Future of Humanity" as the slogan of its plans and strategies for dealing with humanitarian issues, she added, stressing that the future of planet Earth is in the hands of people, regardless of their statures or roles.
“The future of the Earth is everyone's responsibility, and we must shoulder this responsibility and seriously work together to preserve the planet's future,” she said.
During her participation in the International Government Communication Forum 2023, Sarhan told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the UAE’s media forums, such as the International Government Communication Forum, the Dubai Press Club’s events, and the Global Media Congress, highlight global issues and showcase the UAE’s vision for the future of the media.
The media’s primary focus should be protecting, preserving, and supporting humanity in facing risks, she stressed, calling for a shift in media priorities and interests toward the future.
The current critical global issue is climate change, as it concerns the future of upcoming generations, and the future media must recognise the importance of climate change issues, she said in conclusion.
