Family Development Foundation launches ‘School Bag’ initiative with ERC

ABU DHABI, 1st September, 2023 (WAM) — The Family Development Foundation (FDF) has launched the 'School Bag' initiative in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) to foster values of solidarity and cooperation in society and provide support for underprivileged families and groups to improve their living conditions.

The initiative aligns with the Foundation's strategy to increase the involvement of the Hafeet community and other areas of the Jebel Hafeet Community Centre in charitable endeavours.

The initiative includes preparing school supplies for underprivileged children to bolster the community's role in supporting disadvantaged families. Also, children will participate in crafting school bag content.

Sanaa Al Suwaidi, Director of the Family Development Foundation Centres in Al Ain region, said that the initiative represents the coordinated efforts of the nation's stakeholders to introduce initiatives, programmes, and activities that benefit society.

She added, "The Jebel Hafeet Community Centre is a comprehensive development forum providing various services covering various aspects of life. It helps create a better social environment, provide safe spaces for families, raise awareness, and assist people in acquiring requisite skills and knowledge. It further keeps a close eye on community needs to improve the quality of life.

She also praised the ERC for its relentless efforts in empowering and supporting low-income families and its role in making the initiative successful.
