GUIYANG, 18th August, 2023 (WAM) — A fire outbreak at an inn in Liping County, Guizhou Province, southwest China, which resulted in the loss of nine lives and left two individuals injured, according to the local emergency management authority, as reported by state news agency Xinhua.
The incident took place at a brick-and-concrete inn in Zhaoxing Township around 01:02 on Friday. The fire was successfully extinguished by approximately 01:35.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
