Former US president Donald Trump pleads not guilty to election conspiracy
Former US president Donald Trump pleaded not guilty Thursday to historic charges that he led a criminal conspiracy seeking to defraud the American people by overturning the 2020 election.
The 77-year-old Republican told magistrate judge Moxila Upadhyaya he was pleading “not guilty” to all four counts against him.
The accusations that Trump and six unnamed co-conspirators plotted to upend the 2020 election result is the most serious of three criminal cases threatening to derail his White House comeback bid.
