University of Sharjah signs MoU with Gulf Craft

SHARJAH, 22nd June, 2023 (WAM) — The College of Fine Arts and Design (CFAD) at the University of Sharjah (UoS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gulf Craft, one of the world’s leading boat and yacht manufacturers, with the aim of cooperation in developing mutually beneficial projects and initiatives, providing internship opportunities for students.

The MoU was signed by the Dean of CFAD, Prof. Nadia Mehdi Alhasani, and on behalf of “Gulf Craft” by Abeer AlShaali, Deputy Managing Director.

The MoU stipulates that the joint cooperation between the two entities will focus on developing mutual projects, providing internship opportunities, exchanging knowledge, experiences, capabilities, skills and resources in areas of mutual interest.

In addition to involvement in professional practice courses and extracurricular activities such as workshops, exhibitions, competitions.

Prof. Nadia Mehdi Alhasani warmly welcomed this joint cooperation with “Gulf Craft”, stressing the importance of cooperation with various governmental and private companies, as part of CFAD’s goals and strategic plan to provide all opportunities that contributes to highlighting student’s capabilities, developing their practical skills in various fields, in order to prepare them for the job market.

The signing ceremony was attended from CFAD side by Dr. Ayman Fathy Ashour Chair of the Department of Applied Design, Dr. Izmer Bin Ahmad, Chair the Department of Fine Arts, Dr. Karima Mohamed Abdelaziz, Assistant Professor, and Rita Abou Haidar, Visiting Lecturer. In addition to Alexander Souabni, Marketing Manager, Gulf Craft.
