ABU DHABI, 10th May, 2023 (WAM) — The Family Development Foundation (FDF) has been a vital resource for promoting family awareness since its establishment, said H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, (Mother of the Nation), Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the FDF.
On the 17th anniversary of its establishment, Sheikha Fatima praised the FDF for its achievements and its contribution to strengthening the role of families in the community, stressing that she is proud of the foundation’s efforts and successes.
Over the past 17 years, the FDF has achieved successes in Abu Dhabi’s social sector, which were made possible by the guidance and support of Sheikha Fatima, who enabled it to serve social care beneficiaries.
The foundation’s mission and vision of comprehensive and sustainable development are supported by its outstanding staff and experts in various fields. It also aims to foster a healthy family system based on cohesion and stability and collaborate and strive for excellence and innovation in all aspects of its work.
The UAE’s leadership is committed to supporting people and improving their quality of life, happiness and well-being, said Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the FDF’s Board of Trustees.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates provide the necessary support to enable the UAE’s citizens and residents to live in stability and happiness, he added.
Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director-General of the FDF, attributed the foundation’s success in social development and promoting families’ role in society to the vision of the UAE’s leadership and the guidance of Sheikha Fatima.
Sheikha Fatima always encouraged the foundation and its action teams to work harder to offer excellent services and launch innovative initiatives to empower families, she said.
