ABU DHABI, 10th May, 2023 (WAM) — The Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Global 2023) and the American University in the Emirates (AUE) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost UAE's investment landscape through academic partnerships.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi by Dawood Al Shezawi, President of AIM, and Professor Muthanna G. Abdul Razzaq, President and CEO of AUE.
The partnership aims to promote knowledge sharing to encourage innovative ideas and research in the field of investment. The two organisations will organise joint events and programmes that foster education programmes in innovation, investments and entrepreneurship.
Al Shezawi added that one of the highlights of partnering with academia is to foster the students' talents by ensuring they have the right platform to pitch their ideas. AIM Global is that platform for students to gain seed funds and foster their entrepreneurial mindset.
Speaking about the collaboration, Professor Razzaq said, “We are delighted to partner with AIM and contribute to the development of the investment landscape in the UAE by providing excellence in higher education. This partnership aligns with AUE's vision to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and promote innovation.”
The MoU signing is a testament to the commitment of both AUE and AIM to support the UAE's vision of becoming a leading global investment hub. With this partnership, both organisations aim to create a platform for exchanging ideas and knowledge, leading to further growth and prosperity for the UAE.
