DUBAI, 4th May, 2023 (WAM) – The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) recognised its support workers, as part of its celebration activities marking the International Workers’ Day, which falls on 1st May of every year.
The Ministry also honoured some of the longest-serving employees in the private sector, workers of various skill categories, and a group of domestic helpers, as well as held sports events with the participation of a crowd of workers.
Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic Worker Affairs at MoHRE, said: “Honouring support workers is to show our gratitude for their consistent efforts and commitment to ethically carry out their duties. We reiterate our commitment to protect their rights and provide comprehensive care and fair treatment.”
He added: “On International Workers’ Day, we can only salute all workers, including support workers. Recognising their efforts is not only on their day, but also a continued process by maintaining their rights and helping provide them with a stable life within a safe work environment, in line with international best practices, following through local laws and regulations, and international conventions.”
