APIA, Samoa, 28th April, 2023 (WAM) — Abdullah Ali Ateeq Al Sabousi, UAE Ambassador to Australia, presented his credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador to Samoa to Afioga Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II, President of the Independent State of Samoa, during an official reception ceremony at the Presidential House in the capital, Apia.
During the meeting, Al Sabousi conveyed to the President of Samoa the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, as well as their wishes for further development and prosperity for the people of Samoa.
For his part, the President of Samoa expressed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, and expressed his wishes for further growth and prosperity for the people of the UAE.
The President of Samoa wished the Ambassador success in his work to develop and strengthen relations in various fields between the two countries, stressing his country's readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate his duties.
For his part, Al Sabousi expressed his pride in representing the UAE in Samoa and his keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields in a way that contributes to deepening the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
During the meeting, they reviewed areas of cooperation between the UAE and Samoa, and discussed ways to develop them in order to achieve the interests and aspirations of the two countries and peoples.
Al Sabousi also met with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fiame Naomi Mata'afa, and Toeolesulusulu Cedric Schuster, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening relations between the two countries in all fields.
