Saudi King Salman, Crown Prince congratulate UAE president on recent appointments


Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday congratulated United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on recent high-level appointments in the neighboring Gulf state.
In separate cables sent to the UAE president, both King Salman and the Crown Prince extended their best wishes to Sheikh Mohamed and to the Emirati people, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

King Salman wished the UAE more prosperity while underscoring the deep brotherly bond and the bilateral ties between both countries.
For his part, the Crown Prince “expressed his sincere congratulations, wishing all the new appointees success in serving the UAE to achieve further progress and prosperity,” SPA reported.
Sheikh Mohamed on Wednesday named Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Court, as the country’s vice president alongside current Vice President Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The president also announced Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and appointed Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed and Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed as Deputy Rulers of Abu Dhabi.
