5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Türkiye

ANKARA, 7th February, 2023 (WAM) — An earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Adiyaman in southeastern Türkiye on Tuesday.

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said that the epicentre of the quake, which struck at 6:13 am local time (3:13 am GMT), was Adıyaman's Gölbaşı district.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 8.13 kilometres (5.05 miles), with no casualties reported yet.
