ABU DHABI, 2nd January, 2023 (WAM) — Rabdan Academy received the first batch of the Republic of Indonesia Defence University’s (RIDU) cadets to study at Rabdan Academy during the next semester as part of the student exchange programme, one of the aspects of the cooperation between the two sides.
The first batch included ten third-year students who will enrol in the Academy’s various scientific, academic, research and professional programmes across security, defence, emergency preparedness and crisis management areas.
Rabdan Academy implements its student exchange programme in cooperation with its partners from various universities worldwide in a unique context that combines academic, cultural, societal and professional aspects, contributing to the exchange of knowledge, experiences and skills and the promotion of joint research and development.
This programme is a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between the RIDU and Rabdan Academy, signed in September at Sentul, Indonesia, in the presence of Prabowo Subianto, Indonesian Minister of Defence.
Prabowo met with the first batch RIDU’s cadets at the Ministry of Defence, Jakarta, and highlighted the importance of performing this study assignment well, and taking advantage of this opportunity to equip themselves, not only with knowledge, but also with international experience.
