US reporter Evan Gershkovich appeals extended detention by three months in Russia


US reporter Evan Gershkovich has appealed against a Russian court’s decision to extend his pre-trial detention by three months, according to documents published by a Moscow court.
The Moscow City Court website showed the journalist’s defense had appealed against the judge’s decision on Thursday to extend his detention until 30 November.
