FUJAIRAH, 9th May, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Fujairah Foundation For Region Development (FFRD), which took place today at the Al Rumaila Palace.
The MoU aims to promote a culture of respect for the law among individuals and raise awareness of legal aspects among various segments of society in the emirate.
Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the MoI, and Eng. Khamis Ahmad Al Noon, Director of the FFRD, signed the MoU in the presence of Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Advisor to the Ruler of Fujairah and Vice Chairman of the FFRD.
Al Sharqi highlighted the importance of institutional partnerships to enhance social relationships and improve behavioural practices among all members of society, which will help promote traditional ethical values, consolidate the principles of social solidarity, and achieve positive impacts for individuals and society.
He also referred to the directives and follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad for community initiatives to ensure stability among individuals, spread the legal culture and respect its principles so that individuals can enjoy a safe and stable society and are aware of their social responsibilities, roles and duties.
The MoU also aims to raise awareness about the culture of respect for the law by launching various legal awareness programmes and organising training courses, workshops and activities in line with the goals of the MoU at community councils located in various regions of Fujairah.
