ABU DHABI, 13th April, 2023 (WAM) — The National Library and Archives (NLA) and the Emirates Libraries and Information Association (ELIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to enhance their ongoing cooperation, exchange expertise and encourage mutual work.
Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director-General of NLA, and Fahad Ali Al Muamari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ELIA, signed the MoU.
The MoU stipulates coordinating joint programmes and organising joint events, such as fairs, seminars, conferences, workshops and scientific missions, as well as providing consultations in the development of information associations in the UAE.
It also stipulates the NLA's hosting of ELIA's branch in Abu Dhabi and providing it with the necessary facilities and coordinating in collecting and making available credible information about national information associations.
