SHARJAH, 8th March, 2023 (WAM) — The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has won the third place in the UAE at the level of the best government work environment and renewed accreditation among the best government work environments for the second consecutive year.
SEWA has envisaged improvement rate of 7 percent compared to last year thanks to its achievements in developing systems and procedures for human cadres and launching innovative initiatives which contributed to achieving a balance between work and family life, raising job satisfaction, applying best practices and standards of quality, professional excellence for employees, pride in belonging to the Authority, working in a team spirit, and effective communication between leadership and employees.
Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEWA, affirmed that the authority continues to develop and improve the capabilities of employees and provide the necessary capabilities that support the development of their skills, enhance the institutional culture in the authority, and provide a climate of confidence and motivation for employees.
He pointed out that the Authority is proud of being on the lists of the best work environments in the country over the past two years, and this confirms the success of its efforts through strategic planning, providing resources and opportunities for employees to upgrade their skills.
Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Director-General of SEWA, explained that the Authority's winning of the third place as the best government work environment in the country is evidence of its continuous development and dissemination of institutional culture, and the sound approach it follows to meet the requirements of its employees, which enhance its position as one of the most preferred agencies by the distinguished and jobseekers.
