PORT MORESBY, 26th February, 2023 (WAM) — An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck the New Britain region in Papua New Guinea on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The quake hit at a depth of 38.2 kilometres. No tsunami warning has been issued, USGS added.
