DUBAI, 22nd February, 2023 (WAM) — Shabab Al-Ahli Sports Club organises events from 20th to 26th February as part of the football companies’ week, which is organised under the supervision of Dubai Sports Council (DSC) to develop the abilities of football companies of Dubai clubs in organisational, technical, social and legal fields.
The first day’s events dealt with the sports, social and cultural aspects, as well as legal aspects. The first aspect included cultural and entertaining competitions for players and students who participated in sports training at the football pitches as a preliminary step to make them acquainted with the Club’s activities and to motivate students to join clubs and participate in sports activities in a safe and attractive environment, while the legal element included a workshop on professional athletes’ contracts, presented by the Advisor Omar Hassan bin Khalifa from the National Olympic Academy.
The second day’s events discussed the marketing aspect, which included two workshops; the first of which was about football sponsorship and marketing, while the second workshop focused on ways to maintain sponsorship. Both workshops were presented by Mohammed Amal Ramiz.
The third day’s events deal with the medical aspect, which comprises two workshops in first aid and healthy nutrition, to be presented by Al-Tadawi Medical Centre. The legal aspect will be organised on the fourth day, including two lectures on the consequences of the termination of contracts for fair and unfair reasons besides a lecture on the protection of minor players, to be presented Advisor by Ahmed Abdul Fattah the Legal Advisor of Shabab Al-Ahli Club and Company. The Fourth day’s events also include a workshop on media aspect comprising a lecture on the requirements of media appearance for players in TV interviews, which will be presented by Abdul Baqi Sheikh Idris, the Media Officer at Shabab Al-Ahli Club.
The fifth day’s events will deal with the administrative aspect. In this regard, two lectures will be held; the first of which is under the title Introduction to Evaluation, while the second is about the elements of Performance Evaluation. Both lectures will be presented by Dr. Wasam Al-Mustafa from Shorttrack Consulting and Management Studies Company.
The sixth day’s events will focus on the financial aspect. Two lectures will also be organised; the first of which is about the value-added tax to be presented by Mohammed Al-Nuaimi Auditing Accounts Company, while the second lecture will deal with companies’ taxes, and will be presented by Abdulla Al-Mulla Auditing Accounts Co.
The one–month football companies’ events are held with the participation of the football companies of Dubai’s four clubs; these are Al-Nasr, Al-Wasl, Shabab Al-Ahli and Hatta. Each football company is scheduled to host fruitful events throughout the full week. Hatta Football Company hosted the last week’s events, while Al-Nasr Football Company hosted the first week’s events and Al-Wasl Football Company will host the Program’s events from 27th Feb. to 5th March.
The football companies’ week is organised as part of DSC’s strategic plan to attain excellence and sports achievements through developing the abilities of Dubai sports clubs’ players and administrators.
