Jordan’s pavilion at Gulfood Exhibition sees remarkable turnout

AMMAN, 22nd February, 2023 (WAM) — Jordan’s pavilion at the Gulfood 2023 Exhibition, currently underway in Dubai, has welcomed a large number of visitors, Chairman of the Jordanian Exporters Association (JEA) Ahmed Khudari said on Wednesday.
Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted Khudari as saying that the pavilion, organised by the association featuring 31 local companies, is a great success due to the large number of visitors who came to learn about the Jordanian food industry.
The Jordanian businesses present at the exhibition covered a wide range of industries, producing a wide range of food items and raw materials, including milk and dairy products, spices, coffee, drinks, meat, poultry, ice cream, chocolate, and sweets.
Several Jordanian businesses have agreements with importers from the US, Canada, the European Union, Russia, Australia, and some Arab nations that will increase exports, create jobs for Jordanians, and increase the Kingdom's foreign exchange reserves, he added.
The purpose of Jordan's participation in the exhibition, according to Khudari, is to gain access to the international market and build partnerships that will allow Jordan to become a regional hub for food security.
Gulfood is the largest annual Food and Beverage sourcing event, that brings together food and beverage communities from more than 120 countries.
