ABU DHABI, 6th February, 2023 (WAM) — Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), activating the telehealth services initiative for People of Determination.
The agreement stipulates providing ZHO with data on People of Determination, the names of current health service providers and those with whom the organisation deals, and how to communicate with them to activate the proposal for the telehealth initiative for people of determination.
The agreement was signed by Abdulla Abdul Alee Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, and Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of ADPHC, in the presence of leaders from both entities.
The agreement aims to start developing the remote care platform with the Centre’s partners from the Department of Health as the main officials of the programme, activate the new service, train providers and beneficiaries, and develop educational and training content.
This is in line with the needs of People of Determination to educate them about the programmes and services available to them, and to cooperate to fully implement awareness and training workshops for service providers with the main partners, provided that the pilot phase of the telehealth initiative proposal is implemented for a period of six weeks, after which an evaluation of that phase is conducted, and then providing service at wider application
Al Humaidan welcomed the signing of the agreement with ADPHC, the first of its kind in the region, which aims to establish a public health system that leads to preserving the health of the emirate's residents and ensuring the safety of its workers through promoting the concepts of public health and preventive health, indicating that the agreement is a continuation of the services that ZHO is providing within the various care and rehabilitation system that it provides to its members, and based on the strategic goals and common vision regarding social responsibility in achieving sustainable social development and building a sustainable healthy society in light of the efforts exerted in the fields of health coverage and humanitarian care for the organisation’s affiliates of People of Determination.
He added that ZHO affirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that serve various groups of People of Determination, and that it harnesses all its capabilities to provide a better future for them, and is working to move forward to develop the services provided in all its care and rehabilitation centres at the level of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, in line with modern global trends. In this field, it is also keen, in parallel, to implement a series of awareness and education programmes for families and parents of People of Determination, in a way that serves the vision of the organisation and helps achieve its mission to empower and integrate them into society.
For his part, Al Nuaimi commented, "Our primary goal in ADPHC is to connect People of Determination with health care providers and train them with important tools to ensure their access to comprehensive health services remotely. ADPHC is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every member of the Abu Dhabi community and people of determination are an important part of it.”
In accordance with the terms of the agreement, data is provided to ADPHC through the electronic link system through the Abu Dhabi Network (ADNET) in accordance with the standards and regulations specified by the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), and the data provided by ZHO to ADPHC electronically according to the structure and the entity agreed upon between the two parties, provided that the frequency of providing data is in accordance with the agreed timetable, with the direction towards providing data in shorter periods of time.
