Kyiv mayor says nearly two-thirds of residents have returned

The mayor of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv said Tuesday that nearly two-thirds of the capital’s residents had returned after a massive exodus following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in late February.
“Before the war, 3.5 million people lived in Kyiv. Almost two-thirds of the capital’s residents have returned,” Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko told a press briefing.
