Titled "A Decade of Inspiration in the Field of Dentistry", the conference is organised in person and virtually by the Dental Students Association at the UoS, with the participation of nearly 500 students and dentists, representing 20 universities from 20 countries around the world.
The conference aims to create a dialogue platform that brings together a group of doctors and specialists in the field of dentistry, to discuss the latest developments in modern technology in this field, in addition to highlighting the technology adopted by the University Dental Hospital of UoS.
Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of UoS, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of the conference. He said that the theme of the conference, "A Decade of Inspiration in the Field of Dentistry", reflects the dedication of UoS College of Dentistry’s students, and their determination to pursue knowledge and innovation, which is the main reason behind this conference, which, this year, reached a decade of excellence.
"The conference provides a platform for distinguished specialists to present the latest technologies and practices in dentistry, as it hosts experts in various fields of dentistry, including restorative dentistry, implantology, cosmetic dentistry and many other fields by showcasing the best research, oral presentations and posters, and motivating attendees to apply evidence-based dentistry in their daily practice," he added.
The opening ceremony of the conference included a film about the University of Sharjah and its faculties, programmes and institutes, its international partnerships, its most prominent scientific achievements and community activities.
The conference also includes a two-day scientific programme covering 11 scientific lectures by international experts representing 11 world universities as well as 11 specialised workshops. Thirteen students’ research papers selected by the conference scientific committee are dealt with during the conference.

The conference provides an opportunity for the scientific and practical development of dental students and future doctors participating in the conference, as well as an opportunity to share experiences and build sustainable scientific relationships with students and professors of dental faculties from universities in different countries, which will enrich the students’ scientific output.
