Al Jarwan presents President of Guatemala with commemorative coins marking UAE’s 50th Anniversary

GUATEMALA CITY, 13th January, 2022 (WAM) — President of the Republic of Guatemala, Dr. Alejandro Giamatti, has received Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, at the Presidential Palace here to affirm his support for the Council's role in promoting the values of tolerance and peace around the world.

In appreciation of his support for the council, Al-Jarwan presented the Guatemalan president with the commemorative coins issued in celebration of the UAE's 50th Anniversary and in honour of the UAE Founding Fathers.

In the meantime, Allan Rodriguez, Speaker for the Parliament of Guatemala, honored Al Jarwan with the Guatemalan Parliament Medal in appreciation of his efforts to promote tolerance and peace around the world. He praised the Council’s role in accelerating international efforts to promote the culture of tolerance and peace.

Al-Jarwan appreciated Rodriguez's support for the Council and its goals, expressing his pride of being recognised by the Guatemalan Parliament, a move that, he said, motivates him to further pursue the realization of the goals of tolerance and peace in cooperation with various stakeholders across the world.

Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah receives Ramadan well-wishers

RAS AL KHAIMAH, 24th March, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Friday received Ramadan well-wishers at Al Dhiyafa Majlis in Khozam area here.

Fujairah Ruler receives Ramadan well-wishers

FUJAIRAH, 24th March, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, Friday received Ramadan well-wishers on the second day of the holy month, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

Muslim Council of Elders announces opening of registrations for 2nd edition of Emerging Peacemakers Forum

ABU DHABI, 24th March, 2023 (WAM) – The Muslim Council of Elders has announced the opening of registrations for the second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from the 6th until the 14th of July 2023 in partnership with the Rose Castle Foundation and the World Council of Churches.

Commenting on the opening of registrations, the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam said, “This initiatives intends to train future leaders in the fields of promoting peace and the coexistence of different societies. The second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum is also slated to focus on refining the skills of its participants while strengthening and developing their talents in the sectors of peacemaking, interfaith dialogue, coexistence and disseminating the values of human fraternity.”
