Leaders Sport Business Summit Abu Dhabi returns in March

ABU DHABI, 12th January, 2022 (WAM) — After a one-year hiatus, Leaders Sport Business Summit Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), returns to the world-renowned Yas Marina Circuit. On 16th – 17th March 2022.

Leaders will host two days of exclusive insight led content from leading global sports organisations and local entities.

Over 400 industry leaders from every corner of the world will gather to explore the new dynamics of global sport, exploring four core topics: Leadership, Technology, Creativity and Experience.

The Leaders Sport Business Summit will see leagues, teams, broadcasters, brands, agencies, and other specialist service providers all descend on the Middle East. International delegates will join those from the GCG providing the opportunity to connect, build new relationships and foster those already in place.

Major global sport properties will present on the next big trends and best practice, along with the GCC local speakers sharing insights on how the region is developing and where the long-term opportunities lie.

Leaders will host this event at the state-of-the-art Yas Marina Circuit, providing those in attendance with an unforgettable experience and a taster of the incredible sports facilities the UAE capital has to offer. Abu Dhabi has led by example throughout the global pandemic by continuing to host major events, sporting and otherwise, in a safe and hospitable manner despite the recent challenges. The Leaders Sport Business Summit will therefore explore this and the new dynamics of global sport.

There has been a range of speakers at previous editions of the Leaders Sport Business Summit, including Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the UAE Football Association; Denise Barrett-Baxendale, CEO of Everton FC; Lawrence Epstein, COO of UFC; Jeff Slack, Managing Director at Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team; and Farhan Ahmed, Strategic Partnerships Director at Twitch. This year, over 20 world class speakers will present to a network of global attendees.

Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah receives Ramadan well-wishers

RAS AL KHAIMAH, 24th March, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Friday received Ramadan well-wishers at Al Dhiyafa Majlis in Khozam area here.

Fujairah Ruler receives Ramadan well-wishers

FUJAIRAH, 24th March, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, Friday received Ramadan well-wishers on the second day of the holy month, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

Sheikh Hamad accepted the greetings of Sheikhs, senior officials and heads of local government departments, as well as dignitaries, Emiratis and members of the Arab and foreign communities in the UAE who prayed to Allah Almighty to revisit the fasting month with more goodness, progress, security, safety and prosperity for the UAE and its people.

Muslim Council of Elders announces opening of registrations for 2nd edition of Emerging Peacemakers Forum

ABU DHABI, 24th March, 2023 (WAM) – The Muslim Council of Elders has announced the opening of registrations for the second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from the 6th until the 14th of July 2023 in partnership with the Rose Castle Foundation and the World Council of Churches.

Commenting on the opening of registrations, the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam said, “This initiatives intends to train future leaders in the fields of promoting peace and the coexistence of different societies. The second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum is also slated to focus on refining the skills of its participants while strengthening and developing their talents in the sectors of peacemaking, interfaith dialogue, coexistence and disseminating the values of human fraternity.”
